High operational and technical specifications DSP (cement- particle board): its dimensions, weight, cost and other physical characteristics put forward this building material in the TOP demand rating in modern construction technologies. For any CPU size specifications make them universal in use, since the working composition includes small wood chips or large sawdust, and high-quality cement with additives that level harmful reactions between the components. The production and use in housing construction of DSP is environmentally safe. The production itself is based on the mineralization of substances, so harmful emissions into the atmosphere are excluded.

Characteristics of the DSP

The manufacturing technology consists in the formation of a three-layer base of cement and chips. Large chips are pressed inside, for this a hydraulic press is used. high pressure. Finished cement-bonded particle boards have an integral structure, which, under various external influences does not flake or crack.

In the construction industry, cement particle board, whose characteristics allow you to replace products such as drywall, chipboard, plywood and other sheet building materials, is suitable for cladding exterior or internal walls buildings, it is lined with columns, used as a screed for a subfloor or flat roof, screen ventilated facades.

When making individual order CBPBs with original characteristics are used to manufacture CBPB products of free sizes, for example, 3050 mm long, 3780 mm long, etc. The width also changes according to the customer's request, while the thickness remains standard, indicated in the size table. DSP boards, panels and sheets can be used in construction:

  1. In the construction of prefabricated housing;
  2. For the arrangement of fixed formwork;
  3. When finishing facades, including ventilated ones;
  4. In interior decoration, including for the arrangement of partitions, floors and ceilings;
  5. In the construction of fences.

Board certification and composition components

The smallest plate size in thickness is 4 mm, respectively, the weight of such products allows them to be used in high-rise buildings. The production of ultra-thin DSPs has been mastered in order to reduce the cost of the product, since thin sheets made according to modern technologies, it is not necessary to bring on the grinding equipment to the required quality.

There are also embossed plates with a smooth surface - they include finely dispersed substances. Facades are trimmed with such plates “under facing brick"or" under a natural stone". Embossed sheets do not need to be further treated with special substances or primers, painted or sanded - they are ready for installation immediately after purchase.

When laying DSP sheets on the floor, it is not necessary to finish the resulting surface - it will be smooth enough to lay linoleum on it or paint it. Before painting, it is recommended (but not necessary) to prime the cement-bonded particle board or open it with a special water-repellent compound. Appearance such plates will meet any design requirements.

It is important to conduct a quality and correct installation sheets so that during operation they do not loosen, warp and begin to peel off, which will reduce their service life. In particular, this applies to the external conditions for the use of DSP boards.

The wide scope of DSP is due to the competitive cost of this building material. Despite the low price, the quality of the products does not suffer, allowing the use of DSP in any conditions to solve a wide range of problems. So, when laying DSP boards as a subfloor, they will also serve as an additional layer of thermal insulation, in addition to a strong and durable base for decorative flooring.

Installation and finishing works of DSP

Prior to the use of csp boards in construction, they must be delivered to the construction site, and this is done only on the edge. The sheets are stored horizontally, they are attached to the installation site in at least 3 places with press washers, under which holes must first be drilled. One of the disadvantages of cement-bonded sheets is brittleness, so they should be handled with care.

It is easiest to finish the plates with silicone staining, acrylic paints, or water-based paints. When installing between adjacent plates, an air gap of 2-3 mm must be left to compensate for the expansion of products with changes in temperature and air humidity. The airtight and smooth surface of the boards makes it possible to apply a protective paint without prior priming of the plane, on the side of the board where the cement layer is located.

Joints and gaps between the plates cannot be puttied - it is allowed to use sealant to mask the seams, since it does not crack from the effects of precipitation and temperature. Also, seams and joints are recommended to be sealed with wooden slats or metal slats.

Finishing of DSP walls is facilitated by their absolutely smooth bottom surface. Panels mounted outside or inside the house can be finished with plastering, painting, laying porcelain stoneware or tiles, wallpapering, laying linoleum, laminate, carpet, etc.

In the building materials market, cement particle board, whose technical characteristics compete with traditional materials, costs almost the same as others. plate products, depends on the dimensions, weight of the product and the volume of the order.

To decorate the walls of a house, they often use the technique of decorating under red or finishing bricks. Such an exterior of a private house will give housing respectability with minimal financial and labor investments.

Not so long ago in the country (in the USSR since 1987) the production of DSP was launched. What is the use of cement particle boards in modern construction and what are they?

DSP is a sheet composite material, for the manufacture of which medium and thin wood chips (24%), Portland cement grade M500 (65%), special chemical additives (2.5%) are used to reduce the negative impact of wood extracts on cement, and water (8 .5%) (Picture 1). Plates are obtained by pressing at a temperature of 900°C for 8 hours. After that, the products are kept at vivo for 2 weeks.

The most famous domestic manufacturer is the Tambov plant Tamak. Plates are also produced by TsSP-Svir (St. Petersburg), the Kostroma CSP plant, Omsk Stropan, Tyumen Sibzhilstroy and Zavod building structures located in Sterlitamak.

Russian products meet the requirements of GOST 26816-86. It is divided into 2 brands: TsSP-1, TsSP-2. Less stringent requirements are allowed for sheets of the last grade than for TsSP-1.

Cement particle boards have:

  • density of 1100-1400 kg / m³;
  • high thermal conductivity - 1.15 kJ/kg*0°C;
  • vapor permeability of 0.03 mg / m * h * Pa (“breathable” material);
  • fire resistance - practically does not burn, at high temperatures it does not emit toxic gases and vapors;
  • water resistance;
  • decay resistance;
  • high sound insulation;
  • durability: 50 years warranty for operation in building structures;
  • high strength to longitudinal deformation;
  • surface evenness.

But cement-bonded particle boards, whose technical characteristics are generally good, also have a number of disadvantages:

  • high price;
  • during processing, an incredible amount of dust is generated, as a result of which the use of dust extractors, goggles and respirators is simply necessary;
  • heavy material: 1 m² weighs approximately 10 kg, which makes it difficult to lift it to the upper floors of buildings, and for structures using DSP, a reliable, strong frame of wooden beams with a section of at least 50x50 mm or rectangular pipes with a section of 50x20 mm;
  • low bending strength;
  • insufficient ease of processing: at the construction site they are cut with grinders and manual circular saws(Image 2.3) using a cutting tool with carbide inserts or diamond wheels, sheets can be drilled, but it is better to perform these operations in the factory.

Application areas of DSP

The versatility of the plates allows them to be used to solve various construction problems.

First of all, these are outdoor works: construction frame buildings, decoration of facades of residential buildings, warehouses and agricultural premises, use as a base for a soft roof, fencing balconies and loggias, use as a fixed formwork for the foundation.

Facade cladding (Picture 4) is carried out by fastening cement chip sheets with nails, self-tapping screws, metal staples or screws to a frame made of wooden beams or metal profile. The optimal step of the crate is 60 cm, it is preferable to mount the bars vertically, with small areas you can use horizontal mounting. Between the sheets leave gaps of 4-5 mm, which prevent their deformation when the air temperature changes. The gap filler is an elastic mastic or a sealing gasket, which is covered from the outside with flashings purchased or made from DSP scraps. The space between the wall and the slabs, depending on the purpose of the building, can be left empty or filled modern insulation, for residential buildings this is very important. After fastening, the sheets are primed and decorative plaster is applied or simply painted.

In the manufacture of the base for a soft roof, special attention should be paid to the waterproofing of the joints. Technologically, the process of manufacturing the base from DSP is similar to working with wood materials.

For fencing balconies and loggias, it is much more expedient to use cement-bonded particle boards than the used asbestos-cement sheets, because instead of fragile material, a strong and durable fence is being built.

CSP formwork (Picture 5) is increasingly used in the construction of low-rise buildings. It provides:

  1. Reducing labor costs and terms of work due to the simplest installation of the structure, moreover, it does not need to be dismantled.
  2. Painting the outer side of DSP sheets special paints provides vertical waterproofing of the foundation.
  3. The design provides additional strength to the fabricated foundation.
  4. Formwork retains its shape during pouring and curing of concrete.

The use of DSP for interior work

Due to the complete absence of any harmful gases and vapors during operation, cement-bonded particle boards are recommended for interior decoration (Picture 6): they level the walls (attached either to the frame of the most rigid reinforced profile, or to a special mortar or mastic) , form internal partitions, especially in conditions of high humidity (to increase the service life, such a partition should be treated with a water-repellent agent and painted with waterproof paint).

Floor device using DSP

DSP boards are also used for the floor (Picture 7), and their use is preferable to the use of chipboard (chipboard) or oriented strand board (OSB). Usually, the installation of DSP for the floor is carried out on logs having a section of 50x80 mm, in increments of 600 mm.

With the help of the CSP you can:

  • make a base for the floor;
  • form underlying or leveling layers;
  • lay a warm and clean floor with a front covering;
  • lay the floor directly on the ground.

The thickness of the DSP is:

  1. For interior walls - 8-12 mm.
  2. For installation of internal partitions - 8-20 mm.
  3. For flooring DSP on the floor - 16-26 mm.
  4. for formwork installation - 12-56 mm.
  5. for roofing and exterior finish walls - 10-16 mm.
  6. For the installation of frame buildings - 10-40 mm.

Cement particle boards can be safely recommended for the above works. But it is necessary to use the products of a domestic manufacturer, and not to purchase Chinese DSPs. Using the products of hardworking Asians can lead to swelling of the plates, their chipping, the sheets themselves can be crooked, and the surface is uneven.

When erecting any structure, and even more so if it is residential, each of us is interested in not only its safety, but also in its environmental friendliness. And therefore, in the construction of houses, they are increasingly beginning to use cement-bonded chipboard DSP.

Due to their natural and high-quality ingredients, they do not have a harmful effect on human health or the environment.

These plates are used not only in prefabricated structures, but also for indoor and outdoor construction works, namely for the manufacture of ceilings, window sills, flat roof, various storage facilities, communication boxes, mobile boiler rooms and residential containers and much more, which are subject to the most stringent requirements for moisture resistance, soundproofing and fire safety.

DSP board is a universal building material in the form of monolithic sheets with a smooth and solid surface, produced in accordance with the requirements of GOST 26816-86.

Cement particle boards are made from cement, tree shavings conifers, minerals and water. Due to the presence of silicate cement, there is no need to use synthetic glue, and therefore, there are no such harmful substances like phenol, formaldehyde, etc.

Additional information on the application is in the collection of articles. The lowest price of DSP from leading manufacturers.

ANY CUTTING OF CEMENT STRIP BOARDS TO THE CUSTOMER'S SIZE.

When choosing a cement-bonded particle board, it is necessary to consider where they will be mounted. Standard sizes DSP: length 3200 or 3600 mm, width - 1250 or 1200 mm.

When choosing the thickness of the sheet, it must be taken into account that with an increase in the thickness of the sheet, an additional load on the structure occurs and at the same time, under high loads and impacts, the cement-bonded particle board may break. Based on all this, the recommended thicknesses are:

20 mm - 36 mm - for the device of peaks, window sills, etc.

10 mm -20 mm for fixed formwork

8 mm for subfloors

From 12 to 36 mm for frame construction

10, 12 mm for partition walls

12, 16 mm for outer skin

The use of csp boards

What's new in the field of modern DSP production?
New technology production of cement-bonded particle boards allows to obtain products with extremely low thickness variation. This development has become so successful that in this regard, there was a steady demand for the sale of csp boards with a thickness 4 mm. This is the minimum tthickness for them, which can be produced. The first batch of 6 mm boards is produced in Magdeburg and was such a quality that all the plates were within thickness tolerance± 0.2 mm. These fine tolerances make costly grinding unnecessary. In addition, the plates have smooth surfaces that from very small particles, and
particle sizes gradually increase towards the center boards.
Not new but not so wide yet famous csp board embossed and surface coated various configurations, such as brickwork, wooden planks or a natural stone. Especially in Japan a large number of wishing to buy a csp these boards made the csp sale Very successful business. Over 90 % of Japanese people buy such stoves with embossed and coated surface and used for cladding outer walls.
Based on the success in Japan, several companies in many other countries started test market for selling csp. In the simplest version, paint is applied to the surface usually by roller or spray desired colors, for which there are currentlyvarious suitable paints and coatings. In a better performance, the coating is performed reinforced hard plastic with embossed surface, which is obtained so tough and strong it can match the strength become.

Where to buy DSP sheets?

Not exactly new, but very interesting use of cement particle boards as roof tiles. In Hungary, the use of painted and unpainted tiles on walls and roofs is common, but of particular interest are roofs and walls made from tiles developed in some states in the western United States. She no doubt looks beautiful, but is combustible. Nevertheless, the sale of the csp is in full swing.

Very interesting is the successful application large sizes prefabricated walls and floor elements assembled from DSP panels. All elements consist of panels arranged in composition with metal or high-strength plastic spacers and have the necessary internal reinforcements. Each item is precisely cut to exact dimensions at the factory, including openings for cables, pipes, ducts, doors and windows. On site, prefabricated elements only need to be installed and filled with concrete. Before the concrete is poured, the laying of pipelines for water, gas and electricity in the cavity of the walls will first take place. After the construction of the building, the outer walls are insulated with 7 cm thick sheets of expanded polystyrene, which are covered with a thin layer of plaster or elastic finish. Only three workers are needed to install all the walls and floors for one-story buildings per week. Thanks to the system of prefabricated structures, it is fast, high quality and at an affordable price csp per sheet. Such effective method construction of the building does not create a lot of dust, waste and normal noise on construction site, and provides a fast return on investment. DSP 10, 12 and 16 mm thick are used as external and inner lining walls (according to the frame-sheathing), lining of columns or crossbars of public, industrial and agricultural buildings.

Moisture resistant partitions - DSP 12 and 16 mm thick are used in rooms with high humidity. This is due to the corresponding physical and mechanical properties of the material. DSP can be used in partitions of sanitary facilities of buildings for various purposes.

Interior wall decoration - DSP, having certain fire-retardant properties, is an environmentally friendly and moisture-resistant material; therefore, it is successfully used for interior and exterior decoration of residential and public buildings with dry and normal operation.

Floors - DSP with a thickness of 16, 24 mm can act as the following floor elements: various coatings, the underlying layer, the leveling layer, the final floor with the front coating. TsSP 24 mm thick can be used in the installation of prefabricated floors on a bulk base in warehouses and utility rooms. This eliminates wet processes, which allows you to work at low temperatures. In addition, the plates can replace the cement screed. The advantages of this solution are: reduction of labor intensity of work; the ability to carry out repairs without stopping production. The thickness of 8 mm is also a running position and is constantly present in our warehouse.

Removable, non-removable formwork - slabs with a thickness of 12, 16 and 24 mm can be used as removable or fixed formwork for building foundations. The simplicity of the formwork design will reduce labor costs and achieve a significant cost reduction when performing zero-cycle work.

Window sill board - window sills made of CSP 24mm thick are ideal for any modern interior. According to its characteristics, a CSP window sill is stronger and more durable than a wooden counterpart.

The construction of modern buildings requires more and more perfect, versatile, high-quality and inexpensive materials. One of the latest developments in this direction is DSP, which can be conditionally called an improved version of chipboard.

Cement particle board as a building material

Cement particle board, which appeared on the building materials market relatively recently, has already been appreciated by many developers. Thanks to excellent performance characteristics, with its help dry installation of structures is carried out in buildings for various purposes.

DSPs are produced by pressing. Hardwood shavings (its share is 24%) are mineralized under the influence of special hydration additives (2.5%), after which Portland cement (65%) and water (8.5%) are added to it. As a result, a monolithic smooth slab comes out from under the press, consisting of several layers with large fractions inside and small fractions outside.

Types and characteristics

There are 3 types of DSP:

  • fibrolitethermal insulation material based on long-fiber shavings (“wood wool”). Soft, easy to process, resistant to biological factors;
  • wood concrete- made from sawdust and small chips. It has a wide range of applications (thermal insulation, decoration, material for wall partitions, etc.);
  • xylolite(slab and cast). It has high strength, thermal insulation qualities and a wide range of color solutions used as a floor covering.

Due to their water absorption, the plates increase in size, so a gap is required when installing between them.

Pros and cons of plates

The high popularity of DSPs is explained by their numerous advantages:

  • if the installation was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the technology, the service life of the plates can reach 50 years. The research results showed that the material does not lose its useful properties even after repeated cycles of freezing and thawing. Also, the plates showed high resistance to moisture, fire and biological factors;
  • multi-layer structure provides high strength characteristics of DSP in tension and compression, which allow you to strengthen frame structures with the help of plates;
  • plates are often used as insulation, which is explained by their good heat and sound insulation qualities;
  • material processing is not difficult. He easy to drill and cut, its flat surface is excellent for applying putty, plaster and adhesives, thanks to which the plates are successfully used in the design of premises;
  • the exact dimensions of the slabs significantly speed up the installation process;
  • the front side of the DSP can have not only a flat, but also a corrugated surface. This ensures a variety of interior design;
  • ecological cleanliness;
  • relatively low cost.

The disadvantages of cement-bonded particle boards are much less:

  • heavy material weight(about 14.5 kg per square meter), which greatly complicates the process of its installation. This is due to the high density of the DSP (up to 1400 kg per cubic meter);
  • low strength indicators bending, which sometimes leads to breakage of the plates.

Scope of application

These plates are used in large and private construction. They are used to build houses, utility rooms, use them indoors and outdoors, and even make furniture. The thinnest slabs (from 10 to 16 mm thick) are used for sheathing the internal and external walls of buildings for various purposes. For fastening, it is necessary to first make a crate of wood or a metal profile. In addition to aesthetic such a design can also fulfill thermal insulation purposes.. In this case, the space between the DSP and the wall is filled with insulation. This method is often used to modernize old buildings. Its advantages are simplicity and relative cheapness. Permissible gap between the plates - up to 1 cm. The joints are sealed, overlays are attached over them.
The same DSPs (up to 16 mm) also used for the manufacture of internal partitions. Thanks to high performance moisture resistance, they are often installed in bathrooms and other similar premises. The plates are pre-primed, the surface and edges are treated with water-repellent materials. They are also used to produce balcony railings, trim for fire-resistant doors, etc.

From the best varieties DSP can even make furniture

From DSP from 12 to 24 mm perform fixed formwork of foundations in low-rise construction. The high strength of the plates prevents their deformation when pouring the mortar. Another advantage of the design is its simplicity. If DSPs are painted or pasted over with a waterproof material, they can act as vertical waterproofing.
Window sills made of fiber cement boards fit perfectly into any interior. They have all the advantages of wood products, but at the same time they are much cheaper. The thickness of the boards used for the production of window sills is 24-36 mm. They are not subject to deformation, durable, monolithic and affordable.
When arranging floors cement-bonded particle boards successfully replace chipboard. If the floor is laid from the DSP along the logs, then the distance between them should be within 60 cm, and their cross section should be at least 5x8 cm. DSP from 16 to 36 mm in thickness can act as a base, underlying, leveling or finishing layer with a front finishing. In some cases, they are used instead of a cement screed, as well as in the construction of a prefabricated floor on bulk soils (CSP slabs for a floor with a thickness of 24-36 mm).
A base can be made from DSP for soft roof . In these works, 16-24 mm plates are used.

Mounting methods

DSP can be mounted different ways depending on the purpose for which they are used. When finishing or insulating buildings, they are attached to a crate made of a metal profile or wooden bars with self-tapping bolts or nails. Arrangement fixed formwork also suggests frame erection (given the large weight of the plates, it, like the crate when finishing the walls, must be strong enough). In addition, the slabs can be laid on logs (when installing the floor) or rafters (under the roofing). When interior decoration, they are also can be attached to the wall with mortar or mastic.

Release form and cost

DSP goes on sale in sheets packed in packs. Panel thickness varies from 8 to 36 mm. Dimensions can be (in mm): 2700x1250, 3200x1200, 3200x1250 and 3600x1200. The number of sheets in a pack depends on the dimensions.
The cost is set per square meter or per sheet. In the first case, it depends only on the thickness, in the second, on all panel parameters. The dimensions of the csp boards for walls are different from those used for the floor, but the price is about the same. Price square meter 8 mm DSP from different sellers starts from 150-250 rubles. The most massive plate (36 mm) will cost about 4-5 times more.
By their own useful properties(with the exception, perhaps, only of weight) DSP is in no way inferior to analogues made of wood and even surpasses them. And the versatility of the material combined with affordable price make it practically perfect choice for construction and finishing works.

About the construction of a house from DSP for a month is described in this video:

Cement particle boards (abbreviation DSP) are called a whole class of building materials used for various purposes.

They are made from wood shavings quality cement and various additives that give cement-bonded particle boards the necessary characteristics.

  • what is DSP and how they are used in construction;
  • how they differ from other materials containing chips and cement;
  • what documents regulate the properties of cement particle boards;
  • what characteristics does the DSP have, and what types of this material are;
  • how DSPs are used and whether they are harmful to health;
  • how to determine a quality plate.

You will also find out what advantages and disadvantages cement-bonded particle boards have in comparison with other types of finishing materials and what builders and owners / residents of houses and apartments say about them.

Despite the fact that the term cement-bonded particle board (the material is shown in the photo) can be applied to many types of building materials, in world practice this name has been fixed only for panels and blocks, meeting the requirements of GOST 26816-86 which you can find.

Therefore, in the name of a building material manufactured according to this standard, the GOST number is always indicated. This applies to both Russian products, and to plates officially supplied to Russia from abroad.

Nevertheless, conventionally, products of approximately comparable size can be attributed to DSP from:

  • chip concrete (Chip concrete);
  • fiber-reinforced concrete (Fibrolite).

Technical and other characteristics of the DSP

The main technical and other characteristics that distinguish cement and chip sheets from others include:

  • dimensions (length, width, thickness);
  • compound ( percentage components);
  • strength;
  • vapor permeability and water resistance;
  • density and weight;
  • thermal conductivity;
  • surface smoothness;
  • price;
  • processing and installation methods.

Standard sheet sizes

Standard sheet sizes are prescribed in GOST 26816-86 and are:

  • length 320 and 360 cm;
  • width 120 and 125 cm;
  • thickness 8–40 mm in 2 mm increments.

The remaining dimensions do not comply with GOST, but due to the high popularity, many enterprises producing cement-bonded particle boards do not neglect them either.

However, even with the observance of the manufacturing technology and full compliance with the characteristics, these plates cannot be called manufactured according to state standard due to size difference.

Tolerances these dimensions depend on the brand and constitute For:

  1. TsSP-1 in length and width ± 3 mm, in thickness ± 0.6–1.4 (depending on size).
  2. TsSP-2 in length and width ± 5 mm, in thickness ± 0.8–1.6 mm (depending on size).

Compound

The composition of the mortar from which blocks of wood chips and cement are made is not prescribed in GOST, but most manufacturers adhere to the following proportions:

  • cement M500 - 65%;
  • wood chips (Types of chips) of various sizes and shapes - 25–28%;
  • additives (lime, aluminum sulfate, liquid glass, etc.) 2–5%.

This composition provides a balance between strength, including stiffness, and thermal insulation properties.

If it is necessary to increase the strength of the product, then more cement is used, and to reduce thermal conductivity, the percentage of wood waste is increased or the most effective form of chips is selected.

By changing the composition and quantity of additives, regulate the ability to absorb water and resistance to frost. After all, the more water is absorbed into the wood inside the slab, the more the cement stone will be damaged. Initially due to swelling, then due to the transformation of the liquid into ice, in which the volume of water increases by 11%.

Elasticity and bending strength most of all depend on the length and shape of the chips, as well as compliance with the technology of processing wood waste before introducing them into the solution.

Technology Disruption processing will not only reduce the strength of the concrete stone due to the sugars contained in the wood, but also increase absorbency shavings.

The use of the wrong reagents, or a strong increase in their amount, can lead to a decrease in the vapor permeability of the DSP, making the boards unsuitable for use in breathing houses.

Strength

The tensile strength of cement particle board is low, so it cannot be used as a material that can withstand a nail or self-tapping screw with any load. However, according to this parameter, the DSP outnumbers most finishing materials, yielding only to glass-magnesite sheet (GML), so it can withstand a hanging picture, clock or even a shelf with light dishes.

In terms of bending strength, DSP also surpasses most finishing materials, second only to LSU.

All types of strength depend on:

  • chip length and shape;
  • proper processing of wood waste;
  • cement quality;
  • plate drying method.

Therefore, the material manufactured in accordance with the requirements of GOST has a higher strength.

Vapor permeability and water resistance

One of the important properties is water resistance, which describes the ability of the material to retain its original moisture content even after immersion in water for a day.

According to this parameter, CSP is comparable to other wood-containing materials and surpasses LSU. Therefore, under normal conditions, when the material is installed vertically and it rains obliquely, water absorption is small, and it will take 10-100 hours to evaporate, depending on the duration of precipitation. In this regard, this material is quite moisture resistant.

Even if frost strikes immediately after a heavy and long rain, the depth of the layer damaged as a result of freezing water will not exceed a few hundredths of a millimeter.

In terms of vapor permeability, DSP is comparable to clay bricks and slightly inferior to wood. The reasons are in the porous structure of cement stone, as well as wood shavings. So, the vapor permeability of the chips along the fibers is 0.3 mg / (m h Pa), and the same concrete parameter is 0.03 mg / (m h Pa).

Due to the fact that part of the steam moves through the wood, the total vapor permeability coefficient is 0.08–0.1 mg/(m h Pa). At the same time, the vapor permeability of wood across the fibers is 0.06–0.08 mg/(m h Pa). Therefore, sheathing wooden house inside or outside the DSP, you will not impair its vapor permeability and do not deprive home of the main advantage - dry microclimate inside the rooms.

Other materials based on cement and wood waste have a similar vapor permeability value. After all, the process of movement of water vapor through the cement stone and wood fibers is the same, regardless of the name, purpose and thickness of the material.

Density and weight

Due to the high content of cement, the density of CSP is 1100–1400 kg/m 3 , which is comparable to:

  • solid wood plywood;
  • plasterboard sheets (GKL) that meet the requirements of GOST;
  • fiber cement boards.

Therefore, the weight of a plate with a thickness of 8 mm is 38–45 kg, the weight DSP sheet 10mm, 12mm or 20mm, respectively, is larger, and the weight of a plate with a thickness of 40mm can exceed 200kg.

This makes it difficult to use DSP on the upper floors if it is not possible to deliver it to the top by a crane or an electric hoist. In addition, thick sheets hard to mount on the ceiling, because this will require a team of several people and a powerful overlap.

A large mass also limits the use of this material for warming wooden floors, because very powerful ceilings are needed.

Thermal conductivity

This parameter describes the ability of the material transfer thermal energy through yourself, so the smaller it is, the lower the heat loss will be. The thermal conductivity of cement-bonded particle boards TsSP-1 and TsSP-2 GOST 26816-86 is 0.26 W / (m ° C). This is comparable to materials such as:

  • tuff with a density of 1200 kg / m 3 - 0.27 W / (m ° C);
  • expanded clay concrete with a density of 1000 kg / m 3 - 0.27 W / (m ° C);
  • foam concrete and aerated concrete with a density of 800 kg / m 3 - 0.21 W / (m ° C).

For comparison, we present the thermal conductivity of various structural and insulating materials.

Surface smoothness

Plates TsSP-1 and TsSP-2 come in several types - with a polished or unpolished surface. Difference between these types of products in acceptable roughness.

Unpolished have a smooth, but less smooth surface. The allowable roughness size for them is 0.3 mm.

For ground slabs TsSP-1, the allowable roughness size is 0.08 mm, for TsSP-2 the maximum roughness size is 0.1 mm.

To the touch, the polished TsSP-1 board resembles high-quality polished plywood, and TsSP-2 looks like high-quality GKL. Unpolished materials resemble plain plywood or chipboard (chipboard).

What is the price?

The price of cement particle boards depends on:

  • compliance with GOST;
  • plate type (TsSP-1 or TsSP-2);
  • processing quality (polished or unpolished);
  • sheet size and weight.

Material corresponding to GOST 26816-86 always costs more than what is made without regard to this document. To some extent indication GOST 26816-86 in the name of the building material is synonymous with quality, regardless of the place of manufacture of the plate. We have prepared a table that includes the most popular DSP manufacturers and their official dealers, as well as the price per sheet of their products:

Name of manufacturer or seller Board dimensions (length, width, thickness in mm) Cost in rubles Cities where production and main representative offices are located

As can be seen from the table, the cost of wood cement boards or panels depends on their dimensions, sheet thickness and, accordingly, its weight, which we talked about earlier: for each thickness indicator - be it 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 24mm or any other, its own price will be set for sheet or per m2 of material.

In addition, an unpolished slab with a thickness of 10 mm or 12 mm will cost less than a polished one of similar dimensions.

Processing and installation methods

When installing a DSP, like any other finishing material, it often becomes necessary to give it some specific form.

Unlike plywood, OSB and other similar materials, DSP cannot be cut with an electric jigsaw.

Cement stone quickly erases the teeth of the blade until they completely lose their cutting ability. Therefore, to cut this material it is desirable to use:

  • angle grinder (UShM, Bulgarian) with a disc for stone;
  • circular saw with a diamond blade.

DSP Can Also mill, using for this manual cutter or copier milling machine, as well as a nozzle with carbide tips. For drilling, you can use a drill with both conventional metal drills and those with a tip made of tungsten carbide.

To attach a cement-bonded particle board to any base, nails and hardened metal screws are used. A full-length hole is drilled under the nails;

Fire safety and flammability class

In this parameter, DSPs are superior not only to polymeric insulation and PVC, but even to wood concrete. TsSP is assigned a flammability class - G1, that is, they are slow-burning. Due to the large proportion of cement, each of the chips is surrounded by a cement stone, so to start the pyrolysis process in wood close to the surface exposure to a temperature of 500 or more degrees for half an hour is necessary.

As soon as the thermal effect is eliminated, the pyrolysis process is quickly completed, because close contact of many chips is necessary for the start of a self-sustaining reaction.

If the temperature exceeds 700 degrees, and this effect lasts more than an hour, then the pyrolysis of the chips begins throughout the entire depth of the plate.

At this temperature, any Construction Materials sharply lose strength, and the concrete is completely destroyed. Therefore, after a fire of such magnitude, the house cannot be repaired, except that the fire was local in nature and burned out only a small area of the house.

Even the start of the pyrolysis process does not lead to the release of particularly toxic substances, because the main components of pyrolysis gas (smoke) are:

Only carbon monoxide is a serious danger, but, firstly, very little of it is released during the pyrolysis process, and secondly, during a fire, combustion occurs in conditions of lack of oxygen, so carbon monoxide is released everywhere in huge quantities.

Therefore, the DSP one of the safest in the fire plan of materials and is comparable to GKL and fiberboards. It is much safer than finishing from:

  • plywood;
  • boards;
  • wood concrete;
  • insulating fiberboards;
  • foams and plastics.

Ease of installation

Due to the high cement content of CSP much harder than most

Resistant to mold and disease

Due to the fact that the wood in the DSP does not have direct contact with air, it is less susceptible to mold and disease.

In addition, for products manufactured in accordance with the requirements of GOST, the chips are pre-soaked in a solution of lime or other reagents, increasing biological stability wood.

    Thank you very much for the very useful information in the article. Everything is very clear. It feels like a lot of work has been done to analyze the operation of the eBay store.

    • Thanks to you and other regular readers of my blog. Without you, I wouldn't be motivated enough to dedicate much of my time to running this site. My brains are arranged like this: I like to dig deep, systematize disparate data, try something that no one has done before me, or did not look at it from such an angle. It is a pity that only our compatriots, because of the crisis in Russia, are by no means up to shopping on eBay. They buy on Aliexpress from China, since there are many times cheaper goods (often at the expense of quality). But online auctions eBay, Amazon, ETSY will easily give the Chinese a head start in the range of branded items, vintage items, handicrafts and various ethnic goods.

        In your articles, it is your personal attitude and analysis of the topic that is valuable. You do not leave this blog, I often look here. There should be many of us. Email me I recently received a proposal in the mail that they would teach me how to trade on Amazon and eBay. And I remembered your detailed articles about these auctions. area I re-read everything again and concluded that the courses are a scam. I haven't bought anything on eBay yet. I am not from Russia, but from Kazakhstan (Almaty). But we also do not need to spend extra. I wish you good luck and take care of yourself in Asian lands.

  • It's also nice that eBay's attempts to Russify the interface for users from Russia and the CIS countries have begun to bear fruit. After all, the vast majority of citizens of the countries of the former USSR are not strong in knowledge of foreign languages. English is spoken by no more than 5% of the population. More among the youth. Therefore, at least the interface in Russian is a great help for online shopping on this trading platform. Ebey did not follow the path of the Chinese counterpart Aliexpress, where a machine (very clumsy and incomprehensible, in places causing laughter) translation of the product description is performed. I hope that at a more advanced stage in the development of artificial intelligence, high-quality machine translation from any language into any will become a reality in a matter of fractions of a second. So far we have this (profile of one of the sellers on ebay with a Russian interface, but an English description):
